We demonstrate that a pair of integrated Mach-Zehnder interferometer mesh circuits can automatically establish free-space optical communication between photonic chips on multiple bidirectional orthogonal channels. Channel demultiplexing with less than-30dB mutual crosstalk is achieved even after propagation through arbitrary amplitude obstructions and phase perturbations.

Abstract
