Stare nella giungla degli affitti quando si è studenti fuori sede: meccanismi, implicazioni e processi

The issue of student housing has been very relevant since 2023, when the «Tents in the Square» protest showed the difficult housing conditions of university students in the city of Milan first, and in many other Italian and European cities later. This article illustrates some of the outcomes of the «StudMihome» research carried out by the Politecnico in Milan. The research focuses on the dynamics of the private market and the malpractices that students encounter during their housing experience in the city.

Il fenomeno dell'abitare studentesco è salito agli onori della cronaca nazionale nel 2023, quando la protesta delle «Tende in piazza» ha mostrato le difficili condizioni abitative degli studenti universitari nella città di Milano prima, e di molte altre città italiane ed europee poi. In questo articolo si illustrano alcuni degli esiti della ricerca StudMihome svolta al Politecnico di Milano e che si incentra sulle dinamiche in atto nel mercato dell'affitto privato e sulle malepratiche che incontrano gli studenti durante la loro carriera abitativa in città.
