The Erasmus program offers to students to attend a period of time in a partner university to facilitate recognised study results, which match with the study program of both universities. The paper illustrates the State of the Art of the Erasmus program of the Design Courses offered by IUAV Venice and University of Bologna. Both institutions have started to focus on this activity since a few time, and the paper wants in paralell to discuss the difficulties universities and administrations face in order to create an interesting network for students’ exchange.
