The essay addresses the topic of communication design for public and social systems (welfare for young citizens) and develops the theme starting from a project aimed at improving the conditions of boys and girls in the public and private sphere. The pragmatic, factual and ethical dimension of communication design when it has to work for a community is addressed. The project also constitutes an opportunity to reflect on the discipline and the evolution of its tools in a context characterized by the acceleration of processes and changed technological paradigms.
