In the thematic context of social inclusion and sensory disability, the concept of Diversity, when applied to the museum context, should be considered in light of two particular definitions that shape the approaches. The European Institute for Design and Disability (EIDD, 2004) defines Design for all as “[…] design for human diversity, social inclusion, and equality.” Furthermore, ICOM (2022) has introduced a new definition of a museum that incorporates the concepts of accessibility and inclusiveness: “Open to the public, accessible and inclusive, museums foster diversity and sustainability.” This contribution examines some case studies of good practices in museum accessibility and aims to identify factors for promoting a culture of accessibility. It also discusses a recent case of an educational program implemented within the Master’s Degree Courses at the Politecnico di Milano.
L’European Institute for Design and Disability (EIDD, 2004) definisce il Design for all come “[…] design for human diversity, social inclusion and equality”.

Abstract
It also discusses a recent case of an educational program implemented within the Master’s Degree Courses at the Politecnico di Milano.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
