Il paesaggio, lente caleidoscopica per progettare città e territori contemporanei. Un caso salentino alla prova

The Salento represents an extraordinary territorial fixed capital to be unveiled, reinterpreted, enhanced, with a re-infrastructure project at different scales, which is able to keep different dimensions together (infrastructural, landscapes, ecological and environmental). The article addresses this issue through three project moves: building scenarios according to local identities (scenarios planning understood as real systems open to risks, unforeseen events, possible eventualities); spatializing policies and projects to contexts of Salento (an incredible historical, landscape, environmental and rural mosaic), supporting new economies according to places (planning investments based on the ecological conversion of the economy, through a platform of concrete actions for a new growth model). The three moves are translated into a structural interpretation of the territories of the Ionian Serre, defined as a system of ecologies, where there is a strong identity of living integrated with local economies.
