Memento o Oblio? La difficile eredità delle architetture dei Regimi socialisti

The paper aims to reflect on the problematic legacy of the architecture of the socialist regime, the different reasons for abandonment, the current consistency of this heritage, and the role it could play in the future transformation processes of the contemporary city. Starting from the case studies of post-regime Albania by Enver Hoxha and Armenia after the end of the Soviet Socialist Republic in 1991, we will try to sketch the horizon of this heritage and its role in the post-socialist Countries, underlining problems and potential.
