Abstract
The paper considers new habitation modalities of Alpine highlands. Once sites of production, mountainous land suffer conditions of underuse. As possible Alp’s reinvention, we argue that the permanent use of pastures is the most effective way to preserve the landscape, and we consider transhumance a precious practice. Architectural design can positively play a role in reimagining small shelters for transhumant as punctual and temporary infrastructures. This strategy represents a crucial opportunity for reimagining highlands as productive places.File in questo prodotto:
