Abstract
The analysis of the documents in the Alpago-Novello and Muzio archives has engendered a re-examination of the initial phases of the design of the War Memorial in Milan and of the following events at a further stage of the proceedings. From June to December 1926 drastic changes were made in the choice of places and people; the project was finally entrusted to a group of architects whose proposals were evaluated and even accepted in the final configuration of the monument. Subsequently it has been possible to consider the idea and the efficacy of a community-based project in which the monument had to play a significant role.File in questo prodotto:
