This book presents the results of the urban design competition Reinventing Flyover Corvetto, the Milanese edition of the global initiative Students Reinventing Cities sponsored by C40, a global network of nearly 100 mayors united in action to confront the climate crisis and promote more equitable cities. The principle behind the 28 proposals developed by interdisciplinary groups of university students is, in particular, the key role of public space, communities and nature, considered as crucial infrastructures for the environmental and social sustainability of cities. As illustrated by the contributions, these infrastructures, designed to serve new purposes and provide a renewed landscape, could also be derived from the monofunctional and car-oriented infrastructures inherited from 20th-century modernism. The book is yet another opportunity for a debate about the changes vigorously undertaken by the city of Milan in the last few years and the urban development strategies it has implemented.

Abstract
The book is yet another opportunity for a debate about the changes vigorously undertaken by the city of Milan in the last few years and the urban development strategies it has implemented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
