Abstract

In Italy Law 112/16, known as Law Dopo di Noi, introduced specific protections in our system to promote the deinstitutionalisation of people with disabilities, allocating economic resources to Regions to realise new housing welfare infrastructures and initiatives to support autonomous living paths, in view of the family support loss and in respect of the individual “Progetto di Vita” (Life project) of people with disabilities. This paper reports results of a research promoted by “Dipartimento per le Politiche in Favore delle Persone con Disabilità” of the Presidency of Council of Ministers, in which tools to support the co-design of housing interventions aimed at social inclusion were elaborated, for the future of people with disabilities.
