Milano, the scale for blood collection awarded the XXVII Compasso d'Oro, is a device created by Delcon - an Italian company specialised in the design of medical devices and software for the blood supply chain - designed in collaboration with the New York Blood Center and Cefriel, the digital innovation hub that came up with the obkect's formal and aesthetic. Cooperation between the three organisations was the result of a deliberate desire to bring a design-oriented approach to the conception of a specifically medical product, introducing a new emphatic dimension to the deisgn of an object intended for use by operators involved in blood collection on a daily basis.
