The manhole is a threshold between the underground and surface worlds, frequently overlooked and undervalued. Despite its widespread use, it has always benne a marginal, ordinary object, neglected in appearance. This gap in urban landscape design was instinctively filled by the ecletic insights of designers Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni who, in 2012, began collaborating with Fonderie Montini in Brescia to renew the image but above all the conception and perception of the unusual design object.
