In the international debate dealing with Sdgs, Culture has not been selected as a specific and overriding sector of intervention, being rather an implicit or transversal issue. This is due to the difficulty in outlining the role of Culture within the not-obvious combination of Culture - Development, probably because, compared to other fields of Cooperation, it is hardly measurable in terms of achievements. Yet, over thirty years of debate highlighted that, when applied to the field, this combination contributes to enhancing identity and shared values, supporting the effectiveness and sustainability of other sectors of Cooperation.

Abstract
In the international debate dealing with Sdgs, Culture has not been selected as a specific and overriding sector of intervention, being rather an implicit or transversal issue. This is due to the difficulty in outlining the role of Culture within the not-obvious combination of Culture - Development, probably because, compared to other fields of Cooperation, it is hardly measurable in terms of achievements. Yet, over thirty years of debate highlighted that, when applied to the field, this combination contributes to enhancing identity and shared values, supporting the effectiveness and sustainability of other sectors of Cooperation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
