Geographic maps can be enriched with knowledge about temporal-referenced multimedia contents to focus on specific topics related to contexts such as Cultural Heritage, History, Tourism, and so on, facilitating multimedia content integration, time management and self-adaptivity to different application contexts when exploring a geo context. This paper deals with environmental data and presents MAGIS (Multimedia Adaptive Geographic Information System), an extension to existing Geographic Information Systems that allows the semi-automatic classification of contents by combining a Machine Learning technique for text classification with the intervention of human experts. Other features regard the capability to handle temporal information and to dynamically adapt the user navigation according to the dynamic classification of the content. This paper presents the general approach and applies it to the context of Climate Events.
