In the field of cultural heritage -artistic, architectural and archaeological- the use of advanced survey and modeling techniques allows to conduct analysis and to reconstruct three-dimensionally even past-era architecture of which limited traces are present to date. These potentials are highlighted by the case study of the lost Roman amphitheatre in Milan. Starting from the point cloud obtained by laser scanning survey of the remains, it was possible to reconstruct the entire building in its three-dimensionality and make important discoveries about the geometric traces that generated it.

Abstract
In the field of cultural heritage -artistic, architectural and archaeological- the use of advanced survey and modeling techniques allows to conduct analysis and to reconstruct three-dimensionally even past-era architecture of which limited traces are present to date. These potentials are highlighted by the case study of the lost Roman amphitheatre in Milan. Starting from the point cloud obtained by laser scanning survey of the remains, it was possible to reconstruct the entire building in its three-dimensionality and make important discoveries about the geometric traces that generated it.File in questo prodotto:
