The article presents an innovative educational experience based on co-creation session offered within the Ph.D program in Design of Politecnico di Milano on the topic of emerging scenarios in scientific publication. The training has been based on the first outcomes (case studies and scenarios) of an ongoing research project on “Living publications” and it has organized as a design-driven and collaborative model of education, engaging the Ph.D. candidates in the envisioning phase of the re-search project, with the intention of introducing early stage researcher in design to a non-hegemonic approach to design knowledge production and publication. We discuss content, methodology, pro-cess and result of the training sessions, presenting also insights for future development of further training formats.
