The contemporary library has changed a lot since centuries past: an information centre, a meeting place for people and ideas, a concert hall or cinema, a bar, and sometimes even a restaurant. No longer just a repository for books and magazines, the library today could be an innovative space for knowledge workers and a special kind of social hub. The article will problematically analyse these possibilities in light of the transformations of work in recent decades and the global era of multiculturalism.

Abstract
The contemporary library has changed a lot since centuries past: an information centre, a meeting place for people and ideas, a concert hall or cinema, a bar, and sometimes even a restaurant. No longer just a repository for books and magazines, the library today could be an innovative space for knowledge workers and a special kind of social hub. The article will problematically analyse these possibilities in light of the transformations of work in recent decades and the global era of multiculturalism.File in questo prodotto:
