The introduction of a tramway DC grid to support multiple E-Bus fast opportunity charging points is the main topic of this article. After that, a voltage balancing system is developed and tested for this model to resolve the problem of voltage instability brought on by trams' braking and speeding, and subsequently, to improve the operation of opportunity charging points. The voltage balancing block in this concept uses a battery backup system that is coupled to the DC tram network via a reversible dual active bridge (DAB) DC/DC converter to maintain the voltage within a preset band (550- 630V DC). In this work, a single-phase shift control method is used to adjust the amount and direction of the power by applying a variable time delay to the gate signals of the IGBTs in the converter. The effectiveness of such a system is simulated and assessed in MATLAB/Simulink during the course of the tram's journey through two stations.

Abstract
The effectiveness of such a system is simulated and assessed in MATLAB/Simulink during the course of the tram's journey through two stations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
