This chapter introduces the concept of modular settlements for new business ecosystems, based on a set of incremental housing typologies to meet the high rate of low-medium income population housing demand. The limitation caused by circumstances around the project didn’t allow the implementation of the proposal in a specific area. Therefore, the housing model planned is based on a theoretical scenario. The study of the city, of its tissue and elements provided the instruments to propose a solution that began by the dimension of its urban block. All the proposed typologies result from an optimization process to ensure good internal comfort.

Abstract

This chapter introduces the concept of modular settlements for new business ecosystems, based on a set of incremental housing typologies to meet the high rate of low-medium income population housing demand. The limitation caused by circumstances around the project didn’t allow the implementation of the proposal in a specific area. Therefore, the housing model planned is based on a theoretical scenario. The study of the city, of its tissue and elements provided the instruments to propose a solution that began by the dimension of its urban block. All the proposed typologies result from an optimization process to ensure good internal comfort.
