The close dialogue between agronomists and architects and between farmers and masons, in the preliminary stages and during the restoration of the landscape, allowed to experiment on the ground a common conservation approach and to define a transdisciplinary working method. This was possible by bringing together two disciplines such as agronomy and architecture, which, apparently very different in terms of object of intervention, can have many points of contact thanks to a same conservative approach. This was experimented while restoring the historical landscape system of water meadows, widespread in the nineteenth century in the Milan area, now in sharp decline, but with great social and environmental potential. The close collaboration established between the different professionals has led to mutual learning not only of operational techniques but also of a working method which, in the experimentation of the intervention, enriched each other. The outcome of this interpenetration of knowledge has led to implement several joint initiatives for the knowledge transmission and landscape care: professionals in charge of intervening in the landscape (landscape authorization); farmers urged to manage the agricultural landscape in a conscious and ecologically sustainable way; citizens, in particular the new generations, invited to respect and care for the landscape heritage; the Ministries of Culture and Agriculture to demonstrate the good landscape management practice implemented.

Abstract
The outcome of this interpenetration of knowledge has led to implement several joint initiatives for the knowledge transmission and landscape care: professionals in charge of intervening in the landscape (landscape authorization); farmers urged to manage the agricultural landscape in a conscious and ecologically sustainable way; citizens, in particular the new generations, invited to respect and care for the landscape heritage; the Ministries of Culture and Agriculture to demonstrate the good landscape management practice implemented.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
