This work explores the relationships between digital models that produce iconic representation and schemes that depict the same object with symbolic language. The aim is to create an interactive synergy between analytic tools – bases of geographic data integrated in three-dimensional models – and territorial synthetic representations to be embodied in design strategies. The explored methodology to achieve these objectives is the use of an ecosystem of digital tools, which starts from the territorial databases to acquire multiple three-dimensional sets of information. Three kinds of tools and procedures have been experimented: GIS, NURBS, Coding, Machine Learning. The analyzed procedures aim to have maximum freedom in processing geometries through the different representation scales. The case study is the central Adriatic coast of Italy, specifically along the “via verde della Costa dei Trabucchi” greenway. The strategic goal is to provide analytic and design tools that improve the connections and accessibility in these fragile territories, between the inner areas and the coast. The research investigates how to produce parametric maps that represent spatial-temporal distances and quantitative evaluation of the features along slow mobility paths. This kind of maps is suitable to represent the accessibility of the territory where the simultaneous presence of slow and fast networks.
