The Milan's open space has been rediscovered, starting from the lockdown. The paper describes a still evolving phenomenon. The innovative experience of the existing open space and the design criteria for its regeneration are discussed. A surprising resiliency of the Milan's urban fabric emerges, due to the integration of various resources: entrepreneurship, supported by public policies, human measure of the urban form, the mixed-use and fine-grain character of the urban texture.
