Our strategy aims to integrate soft urban interventions based on natural, bio-algae, and mechanical filtering solutions into existing infrastructures. All equipment will be divided in two categories: public and residential, to not only conserve the existing surroundings but also improve it. Furthermore, we are introducing new sustainable equipment, updating materiality, and enhancing design potential. Carbon Capture Towers are designed with a circulatory system of photobioreactors in order to absorb pollution and release freshened air back into the atmosphere. The interior space is composed with modular forms to provide a co-housing community with numerous apartment typologies for the various living conditions. The structure includes both private quarters and socially engaging spaces, such as: shared gardens, terraces, libraries, storage rooms, kitchens, and working areas. A carbon capture tower is flexible enough to allow different facade configurations. Allowing for creative diversity and innovation. In this example the outer facade acts as an exterior skin that cover 15% of its area. While the inner PBR cover another 15%. This ratios might change accordin to climate and lighing needs.
