This paper presents the first results of an innovative approach in the use of Mixed Reality in education, which aims to be applied to any school subject. Instead of representing "objects" (organisms, tools ...), as in typical Mixed Reality applications, "concepts" are represented (in the form of multimedia materials: texts, writings, videos, images ... supported by geometric shapes or “free in the air”). The teacher can prepare the teaching experience by uploading her own cultural content (quizzes, images, texts…) and involve students in gamification activities. The overall experience also consists of "traditional" moments in which in-depth study takes place. The idea is to give through mixed reality a strong trigger to increase motivation and involvement, as well as the skills of collaboration among the participants. The first results (experimentation in a high-school, with 23 students and 3 teachers) are positive. The approach leverages on the 5G high connectivity that allows a smooth interaction with very low latency.
