LA REINVENZIONE DI UN’IDENTITÀ STORICA PERDUTA. IL CASO DEL DOM-RÖMER AREAL A FRANCOFORTE SUL MENO

Accompanied by a controversial critical debate, the very recent inauguration of the new old histori cal centre called Dom-Römer Areal in Frankfurt am Main in Germany opens substantial questions on the future of European cities in the era of globalised uniformisation. Originated about ten years ago, the project’s aim is to define a new identity and to give a heart back to the centre of Frankfurt, in the shadow of the skyscrapers, confirming its central role in Europe and the world.
