Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a method for the planning, realization and management of buildings, supported by software. BIM helps to gather and link information of all the elements in a project, enabling a new and effective project management process. In recent years, BIM-design has spread from the field of structural calculation to architecture and plant engineering. However, BIM design for plants still needs appropriate tools and digital models to be used by a wide range of techni- cians and engineers. A new tool for control valve sizing developed to be integrated in BIM workflow is presented in this article.

Abstract
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a method for the planning, realization and management of buildings, supported by software. BIM helps to gather and link information of all the elements in a project, enabling a new and effective project management process. In recent years, BIM-design has spread from the field of structural calculation to architecture and plant engineering. However, BIM design for plants still needs appropriate tools and digital models to be used by a wide range of techni- cians and engineers. A new tool for control valve sizing developed to be integrated in BIM workflow is presented in this article.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
