Piranesi Valadier, di padre in figlio

Architects, dealers of antiquities, creators of ancient objects, the Valadier and Piranesi families have some similar aspects. There is some incidental common encounter on the Roman scene of the late Eighteenth century and the presence of Piranesian suggestions in some of Giuseppe Valadier's architectural signs. And a document from the times of the first Roman Republic testifies the transport to Naples of some pieces kept by by Giuseppe Valadier at Palazzo Tomati, the workshop and museum of Piranesi.
