Sara Kulturhus is a new cultural center, inaugurated in 2021 in the Swedish city of Skellefteå, comprising a large theater, the civic library, a museum, an exhibition gallery, multipurpose halls, a hotel, a restaurant, a café and several flexible and multipurpose spaces open to citizens. New urban landmark and center of aggregation and cultural sociality, it is a futuristic, sustainable and innovative structure, both from the point of view of the services and from the architectural and technological one. It is the second tallest wooden building in the world, conceived with zero emissions thanks to a mixed system of solar panels, batteries and geothermal heat pumps, capable of supplying energy in excess to the city.
