Abstract

WorkingAge is a EU H2020 Project (lasting 2019-2022) aiming at promoting healthy habits in working environments to improve quality of life of workers. IoT sensors are used to detect environmental and workers conditions. Raw sensors data are then transformed into interventions in the form of reminders or recommendations communicated to the user through a mobile application. This paper describes the main issues of data management in the project: the knowledge-based decision support system (DSS) that has been developed to infer the recommendations for the users, which is based on a set of probabilistic rules and takes into account users’ preferences to promote users’ well being, and the design choices to guarantee data security and privacy.
