Although many different media could be used to implement the flipped classroom approach, educational videos are undoubtably the most typical. Students are asked to watch them in view of active/interactive synchronous sessions, either online or in presence [6]. In this paper, we present a tool that allows making the most of this approach: Evoli. Evoli allows students to “tag” videos with time-stamped reactions on what they understand/not understand; in addition, it allows adding comments or questions. The instructor is provided with a dashboard where the aggregate reactions are shown, allowing her to better plan the synchronous sessions, knowing what topics/concepts were so clear that they do not need revision vs. those so unclear that they need explanation.
