The research addresses the topic of Augmented Reality applied to physical models in the architectural domain, namely Augmented Maquette. The paper presents: (i) an overview of physical models integrated with digital contents for architectural / urban planning purposes, with particular reference to interactive planning tables (ii) a test and a comparison of AR solutions already on the market applied to physical models. Conclusions argue the usefulness of such tools in the architectural field for fostering collaborative urban planning.
