The disclosure relates to a conditioning device (1) for conditioning at least one portion of an exposed stretch (2) of a blood vessel (3) for collecting biological material for grafting, comprising an envelope (4); at least one conveying channel (7) which extends entirely within the envelope and comprises at least one first aperture (11) leading out of the envelope, so that said at least one conveying channel can be supplied with working fluid (14) through said at least one first aperture; said envelope comprising a first layer (15) comprising a first surface intended to face said exposed stretch, and a second layer (16) comprising a second surface, opposite to said first surface; wherein said first layer is permeable to at least one component of the working fluid, so that said at least one component may diffuse from the conveying channel to the first surface. A method for collecting autologous biological material for grafting, e.g. for coronary bypass, is also disclosed.
