Prospettiva Ballarò. Una strategia per lo spazio pubblico di un quartiere marginale

The article briefly presents the authors's master thesis which originated from a reflection on the role of the architect and architecture in particularly run-down neighborhoods. Ballarò, in Palermo, is a complex place where big problems and important resources coexist. Despite the potential in the design, this kind of contexts have not yet been addressed with appropriated tools and approaches. The proposed strategy deals with some isseus and, besides, being significant for the specific condition, can also offer a starting point for method and be useful for other critical situations.
