In this text, I address how planning can contribute to building the resilience of communities and territories. I begin with some reflections on the evolution of the territorial and socio-economic context, and then address how planning theory and practice have been able to grapple with that context as it has become increasingly affected by changes and emergency situations, with reference in particular to a few classic authors.
