It’s becoming a habit - Arketipo’s December issue always turns into something special. The version for the year 2020 is a booklet with more pages than usual, and no less than eighteen designs instead of the usual seven. In one of the most problematic years of recent decades, with medium and long term consequences which are far from being understood yet, we have decided to launch a message of optimism, an instigation to start up again, called “regenerate Italy”. A trip from north to south of the country which intends to point out, also in terms of numbers and typologies, some of the many examples of regeneration of “problematic” situations on our territory. Unlike the traditional monographic issues which we dedicate each year to “regeneration”, we wanted to highlight cases on a very different scale, showing how our whole country is full of critical situations which can be solved, also with limited budgets, thanks to the power of ideas, with good will and a lot of determination. This is why, in this issue, we shall be publishing buildings, but also public squares, infrastructures, complexes of buildings and whole types of buildings, such as schools - because all of Italy needs to be regenerated, not just buildings.

A special issue: regenerate, Italy!
