Nowadays the increased diffusion of nonlinear power electronics based devices in electric distribution grids has raised the interests towards power quality monitoring. In this respect, the use of synchronized harmonic phasors can be a powerful tool that allows identifying the sources of power quality issues such as harmonic disturbances. However, the impact of the uncertainty due to the employed voltage transformers and to the other devices that compose the measurement chain has to be analyzed. The aim of this work is investigating, through numerical simulations, the combined impact of the inductive instrument transformer and of the estimation algorithm on harmonic synchrophasor measurement. In particular, a detailed model of the voltage transformer considering core hysteresis has been employed.
