The aim of this paper is to describe the diagnostics of bearing failures in rolling element bearings by means of special processing techniques applied to vibration data. The vibration data have been measured by using a test device, designed in accordance with EN 12082:2017. Two data sets, corresponding to two different bearings, employed for the wheel axle for railway application, have been analyzed, by applying the most suitable algorithms for the identification of the bearing defect and state. Some damage severity indices are also introduced. The results are described in detail in this paper.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe the diagnostics of bearing failures in rolling element bearings by means of special processing techniques applied to vibration data. The vibration data have been measured by using a test device, designed in accordance with EN 12082:2017. Two data sets, corresponding to two different bearings, employed for the wheel axle for railway application, have been analyzed, by applying the most suitable algorithms for the identification of the bearing defect and state. Some damage severity indices are also introduced. The results are described in detail in this paper.File in questo prodotto:
