Giancarlo Paba’s Map: A Remembrance

Giancarlo Paba walked every day in literature and in urban practices, and he often took us in surprising directions. But if we look at his journeys as a whole and from above – reading them like a map – we come to discover the strength of his message: he is showing us the cardinal points of the construction of a modest, courageous, radical, rigorous and relevant approach to planning. Starting from its history, it concerns our bodies in their essential aspirations, it extends to the materiality of the territory, which must be able to include every person and everything. It must reach from the margins of society and space to build, or rebuild, the very conditions for a Good Life.
