The subject of this study is the analysis of the geometric matrix and the graphical representation of the Amphitheatre of Pompeii, a building with a complex structure on different levels. For the understanding and the interpretation of the relationship among the spaces, we took of three-dimensional acquisitions that have responded with flexibly to the need of documenting geometries and articulated shapes. The aims were to (i) extract accurate metric information, concerning plans and sections of the Amphitheatre; (ii) study and update of historical and archival information.
