Città ed università in Emilia-Romagna / Cities and universities in Emilia-Romagna Region

The article focuses on the university system at regional level in Emilia-Romagna Region. The research presented investigates the relation between city and these institutions, more about their physical organization both at urban and architectural scale. First evidence is that universities are an opportunity for the cities to remanage their built heritage and re-organize the cities. Otherwise, an historical perspective recognizes two different strategies: in the 70s, the tendency to establish universities was to favour of the development of depressed areas of the region; instead, in the new millennium the regional strategy is to promote the link between research and enterprise, for every cities.
