Le politiche temporali urbane in Italia

Urban time policies are public policies that intervene in the time schedules and time organization and that regulate human relationships at urban level. Urban time policies were launched in Italy at the end of the 80s. The book investigates these policies and is the result of the PhD research. Through the methodology of the case study and the sensitivity of the policy analysis the book explains the experiences of urban time policies developed in nine Italian cities. Reflecting on the case studies, elements of discipline and problematic issues of urban public policies are identified: the policies’ form, the contents of the actions on urban and social times, the difficulties of these necessarily participated actions, the weaknesses of the cross-cutting actions in public administration, the professional tasks and opportunities. The book was published few years after the launch of these policies and during the institutional process of definition of a specific national law (Law 53/2000). In that moment, the book has offered elements of discipline for the on-going processes of dissemination in Italian cities of an innovative urban policy.
