An Introduction to Indoor Color Lighting and its impact in two experiences

Few year after the introduction on the market of solid state lighting (SSL), the colored lighting began to spread in general lighting. Lighting schemes, which were previously used by us for a short time in the framework of entertainment events, discos and festivals, have taken their positions in our daily lives. The development of LED technologies is moving with a great speed, offering the latest and most fashionable solutions. The subject of this preliminary study is to find out how safe it is for us to use colored lighting in our own space. Are there any restrictions and safety rules that we should be aware of? Or we can safely indulge in fashion trends, and daily change the atmosphere in the house, just switching the mode? The theme of this work was dictated by the practical research conducted in the framework of two different experiences, and objective observations during these events. The importance here is to understand the real perception of people according to the rules written years ago. The key point of this study is in the fact we spend a great amount of time living indoor. We are used to consider our place relaxing and comfortable for us to stay after a long working day. And all the more so we have to be careful about the space we organize for ourselves. The result of this work in progress will become a more thoughtful and reasonable approach to the use the opportunities that the market offers us today.
