The contemporary era is permeated by an unprecedented form of nomadism that acts on the terms of design culture. This text shows how the transitory, multiple and highly imaginative subjectivity of the global multitude is shaping “other” modes of living that can open up new scenarios. The world "glitch" will be used to introduce seven brief and apparently disjointed examples that investigate the nature of the contemporary nomadism in the culture of design, presenting a cultural scenario of reference that, from the city to the piece of furniture, constructs a possible view of the forms assumed by the discipline when affected by an interference whose horizons are always less linked to an unambiguous vision of space as place of belonging than to the “habitat of an inner nomadism”.
