BIOMASS is the future space-borne mission of ESA that aims to estimate the terrestrial carbon cycle. To achieve this objective BIOMASS will use a full-polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensor in P-band. The long wavelength of this sensor is well suited for natural targets investigations but is also more sensitive to the propagation effects through the ionospheric medium. In this paper we suggest a methodology to mitigate the effects of ionosphere in BIOMASS mission exploiting the synergy between the polarimetric and interferometric techniques. The methodology will be applied to simulated data and the performance reported in terms of Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Interferometric SAR (InSAR) phase quality.
