The Tower is an artwork made by the engineer André Bloc, an architecture-sculpture built, between 1964 and 1966, in the park of his house in Meudon (FR). The Tower is a very complex spatial device, characterized by phenomena that mark the physical and perceptive spatial experience of user. Alongside the usual tools of analysis, it was therefore necessary to investigate in a scientific way the perceptual aspects, the emotional repercussions and their influences on the cognitive acquisition process to understand the relationship between body and space. In order to arrive to a deep knowledge of the architectural artefact it was essential to take into consideration many other different peculiarities. This works has therefore opened to the complementary study of a new typology of building that combines architecture, sculpture and art objects. What is the status and what can be the treatment of this type of construction that today does not fall within the established genres? Six monuments and theirs creators are analyzed in relation to the Tower of Meudon and to André Bloc.

Abstract
Six monuments and theirs creators are analyzed in relation to the Tower of Meudon and to André Bloc.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
