This paper deals with the description of a working progress research that aims at creating an innovative system for displaying and storing geographical information and 3D models of buildings for a purpose: safety of rescuers during calamitous events. The aim is practical: to make any rescuers (first aid, firemen, civil protection, police, traffic wardens,etc.) ready to intervene promptly and safe in places where there are alarm conditions, to access during dangerous calamity, querying a digital model to find information such as secondary entry points, closed communication routes, etc. To achieve this goal we proceed from a simplified and geo-referenced survey of the buildings and the visual attributes necessary to the operators, to their placement in a cloud environment where they can be easily queried and used through a digital platform; this latter tool will archive models by enriching them with all the information deemed fundamental by the security and rescue to act promptly ( Meža, Turk, Dolenc 2015)
