Attualità della casa urbana. Analisi, progetti e ricostruzioni.

Starting from some research experiences carried out in recent years both from a theoretical and a practical point of view, the theme of living inside the consolidated city was analyzed on several fronts, with particular reference to contexts in which compact, partially incomplete, textures were present. In front of these case studies, our critical position refers to that line of rationalist architecture, which, beginning from the sixties, has attempted to re-establish its principles of settlement by measuring itself with the type-morphological structure of the historic city. This was intended not only as an object of study and urban analysis, but also as a regenerative element the following contribution some aspects of the question are considered, such as: examples of reconstructive intervention that, after the war until more recent times, have defined paradigmatic cases, although questionable, referred to ways of reconstructing parts of consolidated city. Typological research on urban block house, with particular reference to that one developed on deep lots, both through historical examples and these case studies analyzed through educational experiences carried out within Politecnico di Milano (Laboratory of Architectural Design, II Year).
