The impact of the e-invocing system on the supply chain finance ecosystem

Supply Chain Finance solutions are spreading but the implementation context of these solutions is still limited in comparison to potential opportunities. In order to allow a both efficient and effective use of SCF, the supply chains need a significant digitalization level and literature presents electronic invoicing as a promising alternative. Through the development of a quantitative model and the conduction of exploratory case studies, the paper aims at assessing the impact that electronic invoicing will have on the adoption of SCF solutions, and on the way in which the different supply chain players will benefit from their implementation.
