Taking into account the regional scale of contemporary urban space, this chapter analyses the case of the Milan Expo 2015 and ongoing post-Expo phase by focusing specifically on their connections to the Milan urban region. Accordingly, this chapter reflects on the current and potential capability of the analysed process and projects to consolidate and exploit the regional dimension of their spatial and infrastructural connections, as well as of the socio-economic networks that they are able to intercept.

Abstract
